Founder's Note

Rosana Elias Michail. A salon, a mother, a formula.

Rosana grew up in São Paulo in her mother's salon, learning a natural wax formula built around clean ingredients and skin comfort.

In 2005, she opened her own salon — Girl from Ipanema — carrying the family formula into her own chair.

In the U.S., she kept the same standard: all-natural wax with no chemical load and a smoother finish.

She opened her first spa in Summit, NJ, and pros kept asking for the wax because clients loved how smooth and calm skin felt after service.

Now, Biocera is how we bring that 40-year-old formula to serious waxers — consolidated through our Summit, New Jersey hub so rooms can stock up.

Chapter 02 — The Timeline

Built slowly, on purpose.

1986 / SÃO PAULO

A mother's formula

Rosana's mother opens her salon and hand-formulates a natural depilatory wax — no parabens, no artificial color.

1998 / SÃO PAULO

Chemistry, then chair

Rosana trains in the family salon and studies chemistry — refining the formula with organic essential oils.

2013 / SUMMIT, NJ

The first spa

The first Biocera waxing spa opens in Summit, NJ. Clients and pros ask, repeatedly, where to buy the wax.

2026 / SUMMIT, NJ

Crates & coasts

Forty years in, the same stripless blend ships in natural Brazilian wax from our New Jersey warehouse to waxers who want volume without a noisy retail catalog.
